Mrs Barnard at Mitcheldean, Glos: age 57, 3 songs (FT4860ff) on 6 Sept 1921: The only married lady in Mitcheldean with the matching age of 47 in the 1911 census was Mrs Alice Barnard, wife of Jessie Barnard, a boot repairer, living at Dunstone House. Alice was listed as a charwoman.

Alice was the daughter of James and Hannah Marshall, both from Linton, nr Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. The family moved to Mitcheldean about 1865.

Alice married Jessie Barnard in 1901, they had no children. Alice Barnard died in 1942 in the Forest of Dean registration district.
