Margaret Bell was born in Limerick in Ireland c1834 (her maiden name is unknown). She and her husband James Bell had lived a steady life in the Marylebone area (1871-1891 censuses). James was a paperhanger and then a printer. They had 2 sons – Richard and James. Margaret was listed in the 1911 Marylebone workhouse census as ‘widow, age 76, charwoman, b Limerick’.
