Eliza Carter at Rackenford, North Devon: age 91, 1 song on 13 Sept 1904: Eliza’s song (a version of ‘High Germany’ FT421) was quoted in the Journal of the Folk-Song Society 2 (1905), in which Sharp writes that Mrs Eliza Carter was in her 92nd year. However, no trace has yet been found of this singer in the censuses.
