Robert Feast at Ely workhouse (1851-1927): age 67, 10 songs on 11 Sept 1911 + 2 more 2 Nov 1911 FT2719: Robert Feast was baptised on 8/6/1851, son of John Feast and his wife Mary. They lived in Ely at ‘Feasts Yard’ and seem to have been a family of thatchers.

Robert married Eliza Ashman in October qr 1872 and they remained in Ely, raising a family of 6 children. Robert was a basketmaker in Harlock’s Lane, Ely in the 1901 census (RG13/1545 f68 p14). Elizabeth died soon after and Robert was admitted to the union workhouse, where he was listed in 1911 as aged 65, widower, former thatcher. He died January qr 1927 (Ely 3b 812).
