Harry Howard at Shipley: 1 song ‘Watchet Sailor’ FT1663 on 21 April 1908: Sharp recorded no age for this singer but the name is a bit unusual (Harry rather than Henry). It was probably Harry Howard, born 7/6/1878, oldest child of Thomas Howard, agricultural labourer of Tillington (nr Petworth) and his wife Anne. Harry married Emma Norris at West Chiltington on 18/10/1899. They had 6 children. Harry was a market garden labourer. He died April qr 1971 (Worthing 5h 2259 age 92).
