Albert Stock at Temple Cloud (1830-1915): age 74, 1 song ‘Bonny Black Hare’ (FT1846) on 7 Sept 1908: Sharp’s age for Albert is a bit awry. Albert Stock was born on 27/10/1830 and baptised on 21/11/1830 at Ashwick church, son of William Stock, carpenter and his wife Sarah. He married Elizabeth Billen, servant, at West Cranmore church on 31/8/1857. They moved to Temple Cloud (part of Cameley census) by 1881. They had 1 daughter then 8 sons, most of whom were quarrymen – Cloud Quarry (limestone) is now disused. In 1901 Albert was listed as a widower aged 70, no occupation at East Court, Temple Cloud (RG13/2329 f73 p8). Albert died July qr 1915 (ref 5c 822).
