Ernest King at West Harptree (1860-1940): age 47, 2 songs inc ‘Crystal Spring’ (FT1525) on 25 Dec 1907: Ernest King was baptised at West Harptree church on 13/5/1860, son of William King, farmer and his wife Mary. He and his younger sister Alice took over Spring Farm from their father in the 1900s (RG13/2329 f38 p9).
Ernest married Ellen Kate Baker in Jly qr 1922 (Clutton 5c 1085) when he was 62. He died 28/3/1940 aged 80, leaving £408.
