Henry Payne of Curry Rivel (1870-1943): age 33, 2 songs ('One thing or t’other' + 'A nutting' FT61,62) on 28 Dec 1903 : On 20/1/1902 Charles Marson officiated at the wedding in Hambridge of Henry John Payne, 31, bachelor, Sergeant in the ASC (Army Service Corps) of Westport. He was son of James Payne, labourer and Elizabeth Norman, 31 seamstress of Westport (daughter of William Norman, blacksmith).

Perhaps the couple settled in Curry Rivel (where Sharp says he collected the 2 songs) but by 1911 census they were living in Southsea Portsmouth (RG14/5600 schedule 85). They had no children and Henry served in WW1. He died Mar 1943 Portsmouth 2b 796.
