Mrs Nicholas at Camborne: 2 songs 12 May 1913: Sharp did not record Mrs Nicholas’ age but he did publish both her songs in the Journal of the Folk-Song Society 5 (1914). These were ‘The Holy Well’ and ‘The Seven Joys of Mary’ (FT2849/50). There were at least 4 ‘Mrs Nicholas’ in the Camborne censuses of 1911 and without further detail it’s impossible to be sure of the right candidate.
