Thomas Brunt at Blagdon (1841-1907): age 64, 1 song 'Gossip Joe' (FT513) on 29 Apr 1905: Thomas Brunt was baptized at Blagdon in North Somerset on 30/7/1841, son of Benjamin Brunt (gardener) and Elizabeth. He was the eldest of 7 children and was only 14 when his mother died. His father Benjamin would remarry later but was managing the 4 youngest children on his own in the 1861 census (Blagdon).

The couple moved back up to Blagdon in the 1871 where Thomas was listed as the publican at the Seymour Arms Inn. He was a baker again in 1881 and 1901 in Blagdon. He had no children and died on 27/7/1907, leaving £306 to his widow Elizabeth. She died in December 1922 in Taunton Hospital.
