Henry Warren at Camborne, Cornwall (c1846-?): age 68, 1 song 10 May 1913: Henry’s song ‘Christmas now is drawing nigh’ (FT2844) was published in Journal of the Folk-Song Society 5 (1914). Henry was born c1846, 5th child of John Warren, miner and his wife Jane. In 1851 the family were at Penponds, a mile SW of Camborne. In April qr 1868 Henry married Emily Mitchell and they had 4 children but Emily died in late 1870s. Henry remarried Ellen Yeates in Apr 1882. Henry worked as a tin miner all his life and in 1911 was living in Wellington St, Camborne, aged 66 widower with his widowed daughter Annie. It’s not yet known when Henry died.
